(March 9, 2022) U.S.-based NINJIO, the premier “customer’s choice” cybersecurity awareness training company, has announced the addition of IT Channel veteran Tim Acker to its executive team as head of global channels and alliances. The former channel chief at T-Mobile, Acker joins NINJIO with over 25 years of experience in technology sales, business development, and partnerships from leading organizations such as Cisco, TD SYNNEX, and Ingram Micro. With its recent strategic investment from Gauge Capital, NINJIO is in high-growth mode and tapping into the channel is a key lever for increasing topline revenue.
“Tim’s deep experience with technology channel sales will unlock opportunities for NINJIO that are key to our aggressive growth goals,” says Shaun McAlmont, President and CEO of NINJIO. “Additionally, his familiarity with scaling businesses will make him a crucial member of the leadership team as we transition into new markets and expand the sales organization, both nationally and globally.”
Founded by a former MSP, NINJIO was built with the channel in its DNA—including an impressive list of key partnerships and industry alliances. Adds Acker: “NINJIO’s unique approach to cybersecurity awareness training, along with their proven track record as a customer favorite, gives the company the right ingredients for a successful channel sales strategy. We know cybersecurity is a top concern for organizations today, and that channel partners are leading the conversation about cutting edge solutions like NINJIO.”
To date, NINJIO’s strategic partners include TrendMicro, Sophos, and TD SYNNEX to name a few. As companies—both private and public, across all sectors—continue to face increased cyberthreats from bad actors, employees remain the first line of defense against most of these cyberattacks. New investments in the NINJIO Partner Program will enable more service providers, systems integrators, security consultants, VARs, and MSPs to have access to NINJIO’s behavior-based cybersecurity awareness training for their customers.
“From inception, NINJIO has been on a mission to help people protect themselves against cyberthreats and scams,” says McAlmont. “Not only will Tim’s knowledge support our overall business strategy, but at the same time will help us achieve the more meaningful goal of empowering people to be defenders of their company’s assets, their own private information, and ultimately everyone in their immediate circles.”
